At First Methodist we strive to create an atmosphere in which people of all ages can encounter the living God in powerful and meaningful ways. We also believe that an encounter with God can change hearts and transform lives. Come visit us Sunday mornings and experience the difference!
Worship

We offer classic worship for contemporary people. Every Sunday we gather to give God glory and aknowledge that we are part of a bigger picture.
You will hear traditional hymns, sung by a choir and accompanied by a piano and organ. Prayers are offered on behalf of our family and community, Bible passages are read, a sermon is given, an offering is taken, and an affirmation of faith is recited. For the kids, a children's sermon is given and children's church offered every Sunday except the first Sunday of the month to allow families to participate in Holy Communion together.

Sunday School
​
Every Sunday beginning at 9:45 a.m. groups of all ages gather to learn about God and encourage each other to grow in their faith.
We believe that Christian growth occurs best in a small group setting, so we encourage everyone to get involved in a Sunday School group. We have children's, youth, young adult, and senior adult classes available every Sunday.

Coffee and Conversation
​
Come at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall every Sunday for coffee and conversation with our church members. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn about the church.
We understand that going to a church for the first time can be intimidating, so we have created this to be as comfortable as possible. We invite you to come as you are, kids and all, and we'll ensure your experience at First United Methodist is a blessing.
